We’ve seen Sim characters go to college, embark on nightlife, open their own businesses, and now they can also adopt pets to keep them company. The Sims 2: Pets includes both dog and cat companions in your family lineup, and now pet lovers can do the same on their mobile devices. Surprisingly, The Sims 2: Pets for PSP plays much like the computer game.

For a PSP game released in 2006, this game is still entertaining, which is amazing. I tried this version last year, and as a fan of The Sims games, I truly enjoyed it. You can play this game for hours without feeling bored; the life simulation element alone is unmatched, and when combined with the building aspect of the game (which I can spend hours designing homes), it’s just a fantastic game. Yes, the graphics are somewhat dated, and the early 2000s are not my favorite period in fashion history, but it has an unbeatable charm, and I can’t imagine how amazing this game must have been compared to the graphics in The Sims game when this expansion was first released. I’m sure it was mind-blowing. I’m pretty sure I own all the expansion packs, but even the base game is an absolute delight.
