Experience the “pure” Tetris simple and fun as ever. Blocks fall from the sky, and the player rotates them, trying to assemble them together to form solid lines. When a row is completely filled, it disappears, earning points, but if you manage to clear multiple rows at once, you also get a big bonus. The thrill of sliding a long block down the side of the stack to score four lines at once (an accomplishment known as a “Tetris”) has always been sheer joy, but here, the practice is taken further, rewarding you with extra points for sequential Tetris clears in a single row.

In addition to the vanilla variant, there are 11 other modes you can try, each adding a twist of mechanics to change the rules of the game: some make unsupported cubes comply with the law of gravity, allowing for cascading interactions; others make your stack shift to the right every two seconds, or ask you to keep your stack down under a horizontal laser. Some of these tweaks work better than others, but as a general rule, they are all interesting enough to ensure you don’t get bored when imagining a change from the basic game.
